What if you had a choice to be either rich or famous: which one would you choose? That had always been a simple answer for Lorenzo; money and he could never seem to make enough of it. Growing up, always desperate for a dollar made him cold and calculating. Being rich was his only objective in life until he met Dior. Dior is shallow and superficial. She only craves one thing; fame. That means walking red carpets and flashing lights. If you can’t make that her reality then you serve no purpose. But can Lorenzo convince Dior that his money can buy her all the desires of her heart or will her thirst for fame destroy them both? One thing is for certain, when Lorenzo and Dior’s paths cross, the course of their destiny will forever be changed.

The ambitious and beautiful, Dior, is willing to do whatever (or whomever) in order to obtain the finer things in life. Sadly, she believes that the wealthy and psychotic, Sway, is capable of making her a huge star. However, he wants to control Dior and his enormous ego won’t allow him to thrust her into the spotlight.
The moment Lorenzo sees Dior, its love at first sight. Never imagining, he would be engrossed with one woman, he’s determined to have her. In spite of this, he’s forced to deal with an uprising within his empire. Once the two become an item, Lorenzo quickly discovers that the troubled Dior may be more than he can handle.
Truthfully, I wishfully hoped to witness a more self-sufficient, Dior. Yet surprisingly, there are brief moments of a gentler and more compassionate Dior. This side of Dior was a breath of fresh air.
The author’s objective is to enlighten those on the unsavory characters and dealings within the industry. She’s certainly accomplished that feat faultlessly.

Love this book. Deja kept it short and sweet and got to the point! I’m glad Precious got up in Maya’s tail This book was so sad but so true. My heart broke for Dior and all the superficial women in the industry who are like her because I’m sure there are many. The picture painted was so vivid that I could see the drama playing out in my mind. The end was a tearjerker and honestly I didn’t want to believe it to be true. Excellent job Ms. King and I can’t wait for the next one.
